About Us
Chris Carle and Michael Darby started their business after working in other restaurants and bars together. Coach's originally opened it's doors as the Bum Steer, after a fight with Mother Nature and some serious renovations Coach's Bar & Grill was launched in 1983 as one of the first sports bars in Kansas City. Over the years our look has changed many times, but a few things have remained the same...great service, awesome menu and plenty of TV's to satisfy the biggest of sports enthusiasts. But then came the storms of 2017. This location flooded so badly it couldn't be saved. RIP - Coach's KC
In 2006 we opened a second Coach's location in Overland Park KS. This proved to be a great venture for our Coach's family, but due to circumstances beyond our control, it became apparent that our new location could not continue where it was. So, we built a beautiful new building just west of the intersection of 135th & Antioch and moved to our new home in November of 2011. We are quite pleased with this move and our customers are as well. Our new facility has many of the same great features as our original. From our well know Fireplace Room, wood topped bar and sports memorabilia lining the walls, to our same great menu. Different location, same great service! All of our food is prepared fresh daily and features many mouth-watering specials like our yankee pot roast, meatloaf and chicken fried steak. Everyday you can dine on our extensive menu that has something for everyone. Coach's Overland Park, KS serves specials menu till 10pm, regular menu till 11pm and late night from 11pm-1am daily. We feature a wealth of 46" or larger LCD or LED TVs plus numerous big screens for your viewing pleasure. Each TV is capable of showing a different HD program so you will not miss any of the action. We subscribe to all the sports packages (NFL, MLB, Big Ten Network, Fox Soccer, Soccer Plus, and many more) and make a point of finding everyone's home team ~ no matter where you call home! We offer free WiFi for our guests! |
People have been saying for more than 30 years, "I'll meet you at Coach's!"
